The FCD Mako is an aggressive outline that is still easy to surf.  The FCD HP Mako, like all FCD surfboards, is made using extruded polystyrene blanks and epoxy resins.  This combination of materials makes strong, lighweight and sensitive surfboards that are a joy to ride.  The Mako looks like a modern rocket fish in the smaller sizes, with a wing, swallow tail for quick pivots and solid, stable footing.  The board hides a lot of volume, so it's an easy paddler that will surprise you with it's early entries and good wave performance.  

As the Mako increases in length, you will notice a more hybrid like element to the outline, giving another user friendly option to a novice or bigger surfer.  All sizes come with a single to double concave bottom for speed and drive, transitioning into a slight v off the tail for easier rail to rail transitions.
